New group behind tax office blast in Kifissia slams government over Golden Dawn
An unknown group calling itself Forces of the Revolutionary Arc on Tuesday claimed responsibility for an explosion outside a tax office in Kifissia, north of Athens, on September 26, which caused damage but no injuries.
In a statement posted on the Internet, the group said the attack was “a first reaction to the state’s attempt to present itself as mediator and punisher of its Golden Dawn-supporting servants in a bid to throw up a smoke screen and conceal its own fascist form of governance and its new murderous measures.”
The statement added that the murder of the leftist hip-hop artist Pavlos Fyssas by a Golden Dawn supporter last month had been exploited by the government and that the “role of Golden Dawn was and remains to do the system’s dirty work.”
