FM to meet with NATO general secretary
Foreign Minister Evangelos Venizelos is to receive NATO Secretary General Anders Fogh Rasmussen in Athens on Thursday for talks expected to focus on issues of regional and international concern following Venizelos’s trips to the US and Israel.
The meeting is scheduled for 6.30 p.m. and will be followed by statements to the media and a working dinner.
On Wednesday Venizelos met with Israeli Justice Minister Tzipi Livni in Jerusalem for talks on developments in the Middle East and the broader region.
Livni, who leads Israel’s negotiating team in peace talks with Palestinian officials, reportedly briefed Venizelos on the process of talks.
Venizelos also met with Palestinian officials in Ramallah.
