Metro and electric railway to operate as usual on Thursday
The Athens metro and the electrical railway (ISAP) service are to operate as normal on Thursday after a court deemed that a planned four-hour work stoppage by employees, from 11 a.m. and 3 p.m., on Thursday was illegal and abusive.
Workers, who are protesting the fact that they are still working under a civil mobilization order issued 10 months ago by the government to end a public transport strike, reacted angrily to the ruling yesterday, accusing the government of “dragging workers to court and stopping them from holding their general assembly.”
