Staff at seven Attica hospitals to walk off job
Services at seven Attica hospitals will be disrupted between 7-11 a.m. Friday as employees join a walkout called by unions to protest the merger and abolition of hospital departments as part of government cutbacks.
The hospitals to be affected are Evangelismos, the Athens Polyclinic, the general hospitals in Patissia and Aghia Varvara, the Aghios Savvas cancer treatment hospital, the Amalia Fleming, the Attikon and the hospital formerly known as the 7th IKA clinic.
