Police guard suspended after girlfriend accuses him of abuse
A 30-year-old special guard who was arrested by officers of the police’s internal affairs department on Tuesday after his 22-year-old girlfriend claimed to have been repeatedly beaten and threatened by him as well as being held against her will, was suspended from the force Thursday.
A police search of his apartment turned up a dagger adorned with a swastika, prompting a probe into whether the officer has links to the ultra-right Golden Dawn.
