Quake measuring 4.4 Richter shakes Thessaloniki

A moderate earthquake, measuring 4.4 on the Richter scale, struck the area east of Thessaloniki, in northern Greece, shortly after 8 a.m. on Friday, according to seismologists.

There were no reports of damage or injuries caused by the quake whose epicenter was located 37 kilometers east of the northern port and at a depth of 22 kilometers.
