Man, 50, arrested in alleged model agency scam
A 50-year-old Thessaloniki man is facing a number of charges after police say he posed as a modeling agent and convinced a number of teenage girls to pose naked for him.
The suspect, who used Facebook to advertise his bogus modeling services, was arrested on Saturday after police investigated complaints from six women, two of them minors. The investigation revealed that the man had turned his apartment in the Ampelokipi area of Thessaloniki, northern Greece, into a porn studio.
During a search police seized electronic equipment including a number of computer hard drives, discs and data storage devices. It is not known how many girls and women have fallen victim to the scam.
