Alleged accomplice to Fyssas murder remanded in custody
A 32-year-old man alleged to have been in the same car as Golden Dawn member Giorgos Roupakias when he murdered rapper Pavlos Fyssas last month was remanded in custody on Monday.
The suspect had left his mobile phone and identity card in the vehicle but his lawyer argued that there were no witnesses placing him at the scene of the fatal stabbing.
A magistrate in Piraeus decided that the man should be held on charges of being an accomplice to murder.
Another man, aged 34, was also remanded in custody on Monday. He is suspected of being involved in the attack on Fyssas and his friends that night. His mobile phone records allegedly show that he spoke and exchanged messages several times with the head of Golden Dawn’s Nikaia cell Giorgos Patelis on the night of the murder.
