EOPYY to reduce contribution for non-generic drugs

Greece’s main public healthcare provider, EOPYY, will from Monday reduce its contribution for non-generic drugs.

Following a decision taken by Health Minister Adonis Georgiadis, anyone insisting on receiving a brand-name medicine will have to pay the whole cost above the minimum contribution made by EOPYY.

Until now, the organization had covered half of the extra cost of brand-name drugs.
