A bather takes a shower at Vouliagmeni beach yesterday. A rising heat wave is expected to hit its peak today when temperatures will reach 41C (106F) in some parts of the country. Hospitals will remain on alert to help citizens suffering adverse reactions to the heat. Temperatures are forecast to drop from tomorrow.
