Perama Town Hall broken into and trashed by vandals
Police on Monday were looking for a motive behind an attack on the municipal offices in Perama, southwest of Athens, in the early hours of the day.
Perama Mayor Pantelis Zoumboulis alerted authorities after an employee at the municipality’s canteen entered the building Monday morning to find that there had been a break-in and almost all the offices had been seriously vandalized.
The unknown assailants, who got into the building through a window on the ground floor, smashed computers and desks, pried open filing cabinets and tossed files and official documents about.
