Rare hybrid solar eclipse to be seen partially in Greece on Sunday

A rare natural phenomenon known as a hybrid eclipse will be visible from Earth on Sunday afternoon.

Seen from Greece, the eclipse will be partial, with the moon expected to cover up to 10 percent of the surface area of the sun, while in some other parts of the world it will appear as a total eclipse.

In Athens, the eclipse will be visible from between 3.08 and 4.05 p.m. and in Thessaloniki between 3.16 and 3.47 p.m., according to astronomers.
