Police officer injured while trying to thwart post office holdup
An off-duty policeman was injured during an armed robbery at a post office in Lagadas, Thessaloniki, on Thursday.
The officer was shot in the knee as he attempted to stop the two robbers, who made off on a motorcycle after stealing what authorities said was a small amount of cash.
The 45-year-old was taken to a local military hospital.
