Search for captain continues after ship goes down off Karpathos
A search for the captain of a Sierra Leone-flagged vessel that sank on Saturday off the coast of Karpathos in the southeastern Aegean was continuing on Sunday.
The motorship Stella went down 19 nautical miles off the Karpathos coast under undetermined circumstances while sailing from Turkey to Cyprus.
Six of the crew members were rescued by the Greek Coast Guard on Saturday and are reportedly in good health.
A seventh crew member, Stella’s captain, is still missing.
