Eighty seven detained, 36 arrested, in police crackdown near Corinth
Eighty seven people were detained, of which 36 were arrested, during a large-scale police crackdown in Xylokastro and Kiato, near Corinth, on Friday.
Police inspected a total of 176 persons, 121 vehicles and 13 shops.
Charges range from illegal electricity connections and health code violations to possession of stolen property, illegal firearms and narcotics.
Three immigrants were arrested for not having legal residence documents. They will remain in custody until they are repatriated.
