ADEDY walkout scheduled for Thursday
Greece’s civil servants’ union, ADEDY, has called for its members to walk off the job from 12 p.m. on Thursday to protest against the public sector mobility scheme.
The measure, ADEDY said in a statement, “will speed up the destruction of public services and will lead thousands of civil servants to dismissal and unemployment.”
ADEDY called for protesting state workers to gather in central Athens at 1 p.m. for a rally.
Those working day shifts will not return to their posts until Friday morning.
