Greek PM Samaras pays tribute to Clerides at Nicosia funeral
Heads of state and leaders from numerous countries, including Greece, attended the funeral of former Cypriot President Glafcos Clerides in Nicosia on Tuesday.
“I am here to attend the funeral of Glafos Clerides not merely to express my personal grief, but to bestow a special honor on behalf of Hellenism on a fine political man who inextricably linked his name with the modern history of the island,” said Greek Prime Minister Antonis Samaras.
