Kalamata pawnshop blast being investigated

Police in Kalamata, in the Peloponnese, were on Thursday investigating an explosion at a pawnshop near the city center which destroyed the store and damaged several adjacent buildings without causing any injuries.

The blast, which was caused by a large homemade explosive device, blew the windows out of several stores and homes within a 30-meter radius from the pawn shop, police said.
