Army major gets suspended sentence for unlicensed guns at home
A Greek army major was given a suspended 20-month jail sentence after weapons and Golden Dawn-related material was found at his home.
A military tribunal in Larissa, central Greece, gave the 51-year-old a term that is suspended for three years after several unlicensed guns were found at his home.
A number of Nazi-themed books and items bearing the emblem of the 1967-74 military dictatorship were also discovered at the property.
The major also had a Golden Dawn baseball cap and other items with the Neo-Nazi party’s logo in his possession.
