Ministry says in contact with troika to find ‘most suitable’ date for their return

The Finance Ministry on Friday issued a statement saying that it was in contact with troika officials in a bid to determine the “most suitable” date for the envoys’ return to Athens in a bid to ensure that an interrupted review of the government’s economic reform program is completed by the end of the year.

The brief statement was issued by the ministry in response to a report by Reuters referring to a postponement in the envoys’ scheduled return to Athens due to delays in progress with reforms.

Officials in Brussels confirmed to Kathimerini that the anticipated return to Athens by troika officials next week had been put off.
