Trikala lollipop enters Guiness Book of World Records

A lollipop weighing 3,820 kilos and measuring 2.5 meters in diameter has won a company in Trikala, central Greece, a place in the Guinness Book of World Records.

The lollipop was put on display in Trikala on Friday but employees at the sweet manufacturer had been working on the massive treat since November 26.

The previous holder of the title for the largest lollipop in the world was See’s Candies in Burlingame, California, which was recognized on July 18, 2012.

That lollipop weighed 3,176 kilos and was chocolate flavored.
