Two arrested after nightclub fails to issue 13,500 euros in receipts

Checks by the Financial Police on a nightclub with live music over the weekend revealed that the establishment had failed to issue receipts for some 13,500 euros of drinks and flowers sold to customers.

Inspectors found that the club in Athens did not record the sales of 8,675 euros worth bottles of spirits, 2,863 euros worth of individual drinks and 2,040 euros worth of flowers.

Two men, aged 33 and 44, were arrested on the premises. Authorities were also looking for the 80-year-old woman listed as the owner of the nightclub.
