GSEE to hold rally in Athens ahead of budget vote on Saturday
Greece’s main private sector union, GSEE, plans to hold a rally in Syntagma Square in Athens on Saturday to coincide with the voting of the 2014 budget, which it describes as an attempt to “build a fiscal surplus on social rubble.”
GSEE has called on its members to gather in front of Parliament from 6 p.m. The vote on the budget is not due to take place until midnight.
The union called on the government to stop looking on citizens as “numbers for accounting purposes.”
