Culture Ministry workers call two-day strike on Thursday

The union representing Culture Ministry workers has called a 48-hour strike, starting Thursday, to protest the fact that 187 employees in the government department are to be placed in the public sector mobility scheme.

The union, POE-YPPO, said that the ministry is short of some 2,000 staff. The strike could lead to museums and ancient sites being affected.
