Lawyer warns of failing health of jailed Greek hunger striker

The lawyer of an inmate who has served more than 21 years of a life sentence for murder and robbery expressed concern on Friday about his client’s health because he has been on hunger strike since November 11.

Spyros Stratoulis went on hunger strike at Larissa Prison to protest that his right to furloughs was rescinded after his name was linked to a Thessaloniki-based anarchist group.

Stratoulis insists he has not been involved with anarchist groups.
