Greece’s EOPYY doctors to continue strike action
Doctors working for EOPYY, the country’s main healthcare provider, said on Friday they would continue their strike, now entering its fourth week, until Monday at least.
The doctors, who are protesting plans to dismantle the service, said they would wait to hear the outcome of talks between Prime Minister Antonis Samaras, Health Minister Adonis Georgiadis and representatives of the Athens Medical Association before deciding on their next move.
Those talks are due to take place on Monday.
