Student injured in November 25 Tempe crash dies

A 23-year-old student who was critically injured in a crash in the Vale of Tempe on November 25 died at the Larissa General Hospital on Monday, the Athens-Macedonia News Agency reported.

The young woman had undergone multiple surgeries for serious cranial trauma over the 20-day period of her hospitalization before succumbing to her injuries on Monday.

Her injuries were sustained when the car in which she was traveling crashed head-on into a semi truck while trying to overtake a KTEL Intercity bus on the night of November 25 near the Vale of Tempe.

The 45-year-old driver of the car, the young woman’s father, was killed in the accident. Her sister and mother, also traveling in the car, are still undergoing treatment.

Several passengers on the KTEL bus sustained minor injuries when the car plowed into it.
