Human skeleton found on Ionian island
A human skeleton has been discovered by police officers in a rural area outside the town of Lixouri on the Ionian island of Cephalonia. Early reports suggested that the remains belonged to an adult male.
According to Lixouri police department officers, a post mortem was expected to provide information regarding the man’s identity and the cause of death.
An official statement was expected to be released by local authorities within the next few days.
