Baby Jesus back on Aristotelous Square
Baby Jesus has returned to the nativity scene currently on display on Aristotelous Square in the northern city of Thessaloniki. On Wednesday passersby had noticed that the holy infant’s effigy had gone missing and had notified authorities.
According to reports, HELEXPO-Thessaloniki International Trade Fair staff in charge of this year’s festive season decorations in the port city replaced the stolen effigy later in the day, while local authorities continued their search for the culprits.
In the last few years the holy infant’s effigy has been stolen repeatedly from the annual display.
