Diplomats have committed 151 traffic offenses in 2013, data show
Public Order Minister Nikos Dendias told Parliament on Wednesday that drivers of cars with diplomatic license plates – making them immune from prosecution – committed 151 traffic violations in 2013.
According to the data, 148 violations related to parking offenses, one was for using a mobile phone while driving, another was for driving under the influence of alcohol and the last was for three separate offenses relating to driving behavior.
Fines were issued in all the cases, while the drunk driver was arrested, Dendias said.
