Car careens into Kalamata kindergarten; no injuries reported
A car careened into the courtyard of a kindergarten in Kalamata in the southern Peloponnese, on Wednesday, crashing through the courtyard’s fencing, knocking over a tree and pulling to a stop just in front of the building’s entrance, without causing any injuries.
The driver of the car allegedly lost control of his vehicle on Lakonikis Street, left the road and passed over a drainage ditch before crashing into the kindergarten courtyard.
The school has been shut down until the end of the Christmas holidays while the wall is repaired.
