Deals for high-speed rail link to Thessaloniki signed
A series of agreements signed on Thursday aim to cut the time it takes to travel by train between Athens and Thessaloniki to just 3.5 hours.
The agreements relate to the creation of high-speed lines on some parts of the route, allowing trains to travel between 160 and 200 kilometers per hour.
The Hellenic Railways Organization (OSE) also said on Thursday that it would be working with Google so that its services are incorporated into Google Maps, allowing passengers to gain online access to arrival and departure times, schedules, journey times, directions and other useful information.
