Golden Dawn case file has grown to about 10,000 pages
The case file being compiled by the two magistrates investigating Golden Dawn has already reached some 10,000 pages and is accompanied by about 1,000 gigabytes of information that has been seized from various computers, judicial sources told Kathimerini.
Judges Ioanna Klapa and Maria Dimitropoulou are continuing to interview people in connection with the allegations that Golden Dawn leader Nikos Michaloliakos, party MPs and members ran a criminal organization.
Sources said that the information being gathered could lead to more charges being leveled against suspects, as well as new suspects being charged. Initially, 32 arrest warrants were issued. Three of the party’s MPs and 10 members are in pre-trial custody.
The next major step in the probe is due to take place on January 11, when three of the neo-Nazi party’s MPs – Stathis Boukouras, Giorgos Germenis and Panayiotis Iliopoulos – are due to give their depositions.
