Man killed by train in Thessaloniki
An unidentified man aged 30-35 died after being hit by a train on the outskirts of Thessaloniki on Tuesday.
Investigators said the man was walking on the tracks near the northern port city’s main KTEL intercity bus station, when he was hit by an oncoming train. He died instantaneously.
Police have ruled out that the man was trying to commit suicide but have suggested that he may have been under the influence of drugs at the time of the accident.
None of the passengers on the train were injured.
