Greek coast guard officer suspended over sexual harassment charges

Merchant Marine Minister Militadis Varvitsiotis on Friday ordered a coast guard officer accused of sexual harassment and use of force against a female colleague to be placed on suspension.

Coast guard authorities are conducting an investigation into the claims made by the female officer, who was serving in Rethymno, Crete, that her colleague physically attacked her.
