Heavy fog in Thessaloniki causes delays to flights
Heavy fog at the Makedonia International Airport of Thessaloniki in northern Greece on Tuesday morning caused flight disruptions, the state-run Athens-Macedonia News Agency has reported.
According to aviation authorities, the airport’s morning flights took off as scheduled, but a shroud of fog that descended over the northern port city caused delays for two incoming flights, one from Athens and the other a special flight that is to transfer a patient to the UK for treatment.
