Two dead, 20 hurt in bus crash near Thessaloniki

Two women died and 20 other people were injured on Tuesday after a KTEL intercity bus collided with a lorry on the Athens-Thessaloniki national highway near the northern port city.

According to reports, the two female passengers died at the scene while 19 of the other bus passengers were slightly hurt and their driver sustained serious injuries.

The incident reportedly occurred when the bus hit the back of the lorry, which had foreign license plates, 3 kilometers before the Nea Malgara toll station.
