DIMAR names new press spokesman
Journalist Christos Machairas has been appointed as the new press spokesman of Democratic Left (DIMAR), the party announced on Thursday. He will replace Andreas Papadopoulos.
Papadopoulos had openly criticized the party’s decision to withdraw from the power-sharing administration led by New Democracy last year. More recently, Papadopoulos was reportedly put off by DIMAR chief Fotis Kouvelis’s decision to rule out the prospect of cooperating with the center-left Initiative of the 58.
