Parliament releases staff figures

An updated record of Greek Parliament’s employees points to the House operating on a staff of nearly 1,400 people.

The report notes that of the 1,393 employees, 591 are permanent members of staff, 605 have signed private contracts, 72 are employed as special guards while 125 have been transferred from other departments.

The report added that an additional 590 people are working as consultants, raising the overall number to 1983 staffers.
