Ministry says case of DIMAR MP a ‘low priority’ in money transfer probe

A day after confirming that authorities were probing three MPs in connection to money that was transferred abroad between 2009 and 2012, the Finance Ministry issued a statement on Tuesday, saying that the case of one of the three – Maria Repousi of Democratic Left – was “low-priority.”

According to the statement, Repousi submitted the necessary documentation relating to her assets in February last year.

The ministry said Repousi’s case was one of 531 subject to examination but had already been assessed as “low-priority.”
