Metro to stop at Ethniki Amyna over weekend

Line 3 of the Athens metro will terminate at Ethniki Amyna station north of Athens on Saturday and Sunday as work is carried out on improving the tracks.

The work means that there will be no service to Holargos, Nomismatokopio, Aghia Paraskevi, Halandri and Doukissis Plakentias, nor direct to Athens International Airport.

Service will resume as usual on the morning of Monday, February 17, though the airport service will not be up and running until 8 a.m.

Meanwhile, the Express X5 bus will shuttle passengers between Ethniki Amyna and Doukissis Plakentias, while the X95 bus from Syntagma to the airport will operate additional routes.

The Proastiakos suburban railway will continue to operate its airport service as usual. Passengers can take the X5 bus from Ethniki Amyna to Doukissis Plakentias to make the changeover.
