Coast guard saves 20 undocumented migrants from sinking boat
Four women and a child were among the 20 undocumented migrants rescued from a sinking boat by a coast guard patrol off the coast of the eastern Aegean island of Lesvos in the early hours of Friday.
The vessel, which was heading toward Greek land, began taking on water in choppy seas.
A coast guard patrol managed to rescue all 21 passengers, including a 37-year-old man who is believed to be the migrants’ trafficker.
