Workers protest plan to sell Piraeus Port Authority

Workers at the Piraeus Port Authority (OLP) marched to the Merchant Marine Ministry on Tuesday to protest the government’s efforts to sell the organization.

On Friday, state privatization fund TAIPED invited expressions of interest for a 67-percent stake in OLP.

The head of the Port Employees Federation (OMYLE) Giorgos Georgakopoulos told Naftemporiki’s website that the government did not have the social or political legitimacy to sell OLP.
