Driver killed at guarded rail crossing in northern Greece

A 54-year-old man was killed in Pella, northern Greece, on Friday when he tried to drive through a guarded railway crossing and was crushed by an oncoming train.

The accident occurred at around 2 p.m. at Skydra, with the train running the Thessaloniki-Florina route.

No one on the train was injured, though service was interrupted for several hours.
