Pantelis Kapsis to run in Euro elections on Olive Tree ticket
Deputy Culture Minister Pantelis Kapsis, a former journalist who is responsible for the creation of a new public broadcaster, said on Wednesday that he would run in the coming European Parliament elections on the ticket of Olive Tree, which is PASOK’s alliance with center-left groupings.
“I was approached and I accepted,” Kapsis told the Athens-Macedonian News Agency, adding that he had already expressed his intention to quit his ministerial position before the launch of the new public television service, scheduled for the end of April.
