Severely burned toddler dies in Crete
Police officers were investigating the circumstances surrounding the death of a 3-year-old boy in the area of Mesara in Irakleio on the island of Crete on Wednesday.
The boy was allegedly taken to a local health facility by his mother and her partner, both Bulgarian nationals, with severe burns all over his body and was pronounced dead. Early reports suggested he had been burned with hot water.
A post mortem was ordered while the two Bulgarians were being questioned by law enforcement agents.
