Firemen, officials and relatives of the victims yesterday remembered three firemen and a volunteer firefighter at Kareas on Mt Hymettus, east of Athens, at a memorial on the spot where they died. The crew of a fire engine and volunteer Dimitris Karamolengos, 20, were overtaken by the flames of a huge fire that raged across the mountain on July 22, 1998.
