Deputy minister presents Parliament with invoices issued by GD deputy’s company to NGO

Deputy Labor Minister Vassilis Kegerolou on Friday accused ultra-nationalist Golden Dawn of hypocrisy as he presented to Parliament invoices issued by a company owned by Golden Dawn MP Ilias Panagiotaros (photo) to non profit organization Doctors of the World.

The non profit organization aids migrants and refugees and has been the target of an intimidation campaign by members of Golden Dawn. According to a Doctors of the World statement released on Friday, GD party members allegedly shouted racist slogans outside the organization’s Perama healthcare unit on Thursday.

In Parliament Kegeroglou presented two invoices issued by Panagiotaros’s company, Falagga (Phalanx), to Doctors of the World for the supply of toothbrushes, toothpaste and antiseptic products, among others, for the sum of 24,969 euros.

The invoices were issued in July 2012 and were paid by the organization in August 2012, the deputy minister said.
