Gun pulled on bus inspectors

A 61-year-old retired police officer was sued by two ticket inspectors on Monday after threatening them with a gun after they asked to see his ticket on a bus in Petralona, near central Athens.

According to witnesses, the pensioner was traveling on a bus bound for Omonia from Piraeus when the ticket inspectors asked to see his ticket in the neighborhood of Petralona. He reportedly made no attempt to resist the inspectors and got off the bus with them as they requested.

On the street, however, the 61-year-old allegedly pulled out a gun and pressed it against the chest of one of the inspectors, sparking a panic among passers-by.
