Death of state worker believed to be suicide
A municipal sanitation worker plunged from the roof of a six-story building in Peristeri, western Athens, early on Wednesday in what appeared to be a suicide.
The woman, who was reportedly in her mid-30s, had been working in the sanitation unit of the Peristeri municipality for two years on a permanent contract, according to sources.
The woman is said to have climbed onto the roof of the building, which houses a section of the Attica regional authority offices, shortly after 8 a.m. and to have fallen to her death about an hour later.
